Sogne Strategies Norway AS Receives Broadened Regulatory Approval
Sogne Strategies Norway AS is delighted to announce that it has secured expanded regulatory approval from the Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway (Finanstilsynet). This approval grants us a broad scope of authorization, enabling us not only to act as an intermediary, guiding Alternative Investment Managers with ambitions to raise capital in the Nordic region, but also allowing us to provide advisory services on corporate capital structure, industrial strategy, and related matters, as well as offering advice and services in mergers and acquisitions of companies.
The approval enhances our ability to meet the evolving needs of our clients and partners.
To support the next phase the company has decided to strengthen its organisation by appointing the following individuals:
Erik Ranberg, has more than 40 years of experience from banking and asset management, of which 30 years as Chief Investment Officer at Gjensidige, Norway's largest non-life insurance company. Erik is an authority and industry veteran with deep knowledge of portfolio construction, asset- and risk management. He has served on several boards and currently serves on the board of Gjensidige Pension and Saving. He has joined Sogne Strategies Norway AS as a member of the board.
Gry Evensen Skallerud, is a lawyer and compliance expert with extensive experience in corporate and regulatory affairs. Presently she is Country Manager and co-founder at NFR Group. Gry will work closely with Sogne Strategies management and board on compliance and due diligence matters.
Helge Gjertsen, has over 40 years of international experience in banking and finance. He spent more than 20 years as an investment manager at Inter-IKEA S.A. and Interogo Foundation, the ultimate owner of the IKEA concept. There he primarily focused on global macro strategies across multiple asset classes. Since 2021 Helge has served as an independent financial advisor for private investments companies. He has joined Sogne Strategies Norway AS as the new chairman of the board.
